We are prejudice against one thing, and one thing only; car thieves. We despise them here in America, and evidently, they’re quite a nuisance in other parts of the world as well, such as in Australia. We wish the punishment for these criminals would be death, but of course, the liberals won’t have it.

Just a few days ago, someone Down Under thought they would do their impression of the Gone in 60 Seconds remake film, by attempting to drive a brand new Holden HSV Commodore through the showroom window of one victimized dealership. Reportedly wearing balaclavas and using keys they found inside, the robbers seemed to be professionals, or at least, very good amateurs.

Rumor has it that the Holden Commodore is one easy car to steal (we wouldn’t know, personally), and since this isn’t the first time something like this has happened we get the sneaky suspicion it won’t be the last. At first glance of the attached pictures, it looks like it was a failed attempt. Except it wasn’t, and in fact the hoods had already made off with a Maloo HSV Ute and another Commodore HSV sedan, leaving this one behind only because it was stuck on the window sill of the building.

We caught wind of this through the Maverick Man Carbon Facebook page, a company that specializes in aftermarket components for our Pontiac G8’s, including carbon fiber hoods and the like. We’re not quite sure what the sudden theft interest is in these cars, we like them too, but not bad enough to steal them.

Based on our story from earlier this week of thieves within the Elizabeth, Australia GM plant ripping off engine and other big ticket items, it’s apparent that Holden cars and parts are some “hot” tickets down in the Land of Oz.
