When you think of the LSX engine platform, GM should be the first thing that pops into your mind. However, your imagination doesn’t have to stop there as John Hennessey has proven with his latest creation- the 2013 Hennessey Venom GT. Built from a Lotus Elise, this electrifying supercar may not be the most obvious choice for LSX fans, but take a look at the Tuned video above, and we bet you won’t be able to get it off your mind either.
There is something to be said about a car that can produce 1,244hp, go zero to 60mph in just 2.5 seconds, and top out the speedometer at a rumored 270+mph. But frankly, words aren’t needed for the Hennessey Venom GT, because the pure jaw-dropping essence of this car speaks for its self.
Essentially a rocket on wheels, this car is what dreams are made of. Sure there are Lamborghinis, Ferraris and the Bugatti Veyron that have all had their time in the limelight, but if you’re looking for the epitome of cars to drool over, we think we found it. If you can find another car that makes Matt Farah openly giggle like a school girl when he drives it, or that John Hennessey himself admits that he is afraid of, then and only then can we have the debate on the ultimate supercar. Until then, check out the Hennessey Venom GT like you’ve never seen it before in the video above.
