It’s been ten years since the last F-body rolled off the Ste. Therese assembly line, but that doesn’t keep the current crop of gearheads from modifying them. They were incredibly popular bang for the buck performance cars for their time, and they are still just as popular today. With the Zeta-platformed Camaro dominating the streets, the last of the F-Bodies have finally reached a level of affordability that appeals to everyone.
We have a 2002 Trans Am WS6 in the Power Automedia stable that’s just begging us for an update. It was an excellent handler when it was new and it has received a few suspension upgrades in the past, but we feel that for it’s 10th birthday it deserves a little more. A full makeover in fact.
That’s why we got in touch with QA1 Suspension for their new, complete pro-touring package for the 1993-2002 Camaro and Firebird. The suspension kit was designed specifically with handing in mind. It’s fully adjustable and includes: lower control arms, torque arm, front and rear swaybars, trailing arm relocation brackets, front double adjustable coil-over shocks, and double adjustable adjustable rear struts.
It offers enthusiasts the balance of hardcore handling prowess, while having the option to dial it back for daily driver friendly street use. It’s perfect for the plans we have for this car, a road going daily driver with a respectable amount of power that can handle just about any kind of corner you can throw at it. We’ll be covering the install of this suspension kit very soon and you’ll get to read all about it here, only on LSX Magazine!
