Why is GM stringing us along? One nameless exec after another has confirmed the Camaro Z/28, and yet nobody has had the cajones to go on record and confirm this halo car is coming. We know it is coming. We’ve seen the spy pictures, read countless columns of speculation. It’s the worst kept secret in Detroit right now, and still, all we have to go on are a few spy pictures.
At least these spy pictures from Camaro5 are the best yet, giving us a clear view of the front fascia and the rear end, which reveals an interest, four exhaust pipe setup.

We don’t have any new information to relate to you about the Camaro Z/28, and the car pictured here appears to be the same one in other shots (this guy really gets around, huh?) Unlike some previous spy shots though, this car’s hood is uncovered, leaving us to wonder if the Z/28 will get a unique hood, or make due with the stock hood and hood scoop.
The front fascia is well camouflaged, though from the looks of these pictures the Camaro Z/28 features a much larger chin spoiler and lower grill opening.
Out back, the Camaro Z/28 is completely unmasked, giving us a clear view of (what we hope will be) the new rear end. The most prominent feature back here are four black-tinged exhaust pipes, likely leading to a 6.2 liter LSA engine making around 556 horsepower. Other than huge tires though, this Z/28 looks just like any other Camaro. We wonder, is that what GM is going for this time around?
