Forgeline Concave Spoke Means A Classic Deep-Dish Look

For many people with classic musclecars, they’re set in their ways about their wheels. They either have the same size, factory steelies all around, or they have pizza-cutters up front with wide, deep-dish wheels in the back with serious fat meats. That’s a cool look for a street/strip cruiser, but these days there’s another dimension with wheels.

The Pro-Touring craze means larger, wider, multi-spoke wheels with a staggered look, with both front and rear wheels being a bit wider than stock. It’s not rare to see a classic musclecar with 9-inch wide wheels up front and 11-inch wide wheels in the rear, with a little bit of lip to the rear wheel to give it the muscular look and feel.

Forgeline Motorsports’ new concave spoke wheels help enthusiasts to achieve that look without sacrificing strength, performance or beauty. Their latest wheel, the VX3C, utilizes this concave spoke design to deliver wheels with a staggered look and still offer the width choices that serious drivers need. From an 18-inch to 21-inch diameter, these wheels are available in a variety of widths from 7.5-inch to an incredibly wide 16-inch width.

The concave design allows you to fit your wheel to the classic musclecar and sport a shallow lip up front with a wide lip in the rear, which gives the ultimate stance for a Pro-Touring beast. The double five-spoke pattern allows the spokes to wrap around the lugs for a longer, thinner look, and the three-piece wheels are assembled with hidden stainless steel ARP fasteners and heli-coil inserts.

For those who want specific offsets, Forgeline can accommodate whatever your needs are to clear fender lips, brake calipers or wheel wells. The aluminum centers are forged 6061-T6 aluminum and the rim shells are heat treated for strength. The VX3C is available in several finishes, including silver, transparent smoke, satin black and transparent copper, with a variety of powder-coated outer finishes.

If you’re putting the most into your Pro-Touring beast and you’re looking for a wheel that’s fully customizable in fitment and finish, be sure to check out the Forgeline web site for the VX3C and the many other styles concave styles available.
