Dubai, one of the city-states that makes up the United Arab Emirates, is home to the world’s most expensive traffic jams. It’s the only place that can make a Ferrari F430 seem as commonplace as a Toyota Corolla. Most of the world’s Bugatti Veyrons have made their home in Dubai, and there is of course a strong following of American muscle cars as well.
The new Chevy Camaro has enjoyed a surge of popularity in Dubai, even going so far as to be recruited into the local constabulary. So to stand out, some Camaro owners are resorting to other gimmicks. YouTuber Patrick3331, who also brought us the outlandish pink Camaro “Mrs. Foxy” (also from Dubai), spied this 5th-generation Camaro owner driving around with a parrot co-pilot onboard.
Surprisingly, the Camaro in question isn’t the range-topping ZL1 that we expect from the sultans and oil sheiks of Dubai, but rather a plain-jane SS model. This is a downright pedestrian car as far as the uber-wealthy go, but there are other ways to grab the attention of your peers like, say, a talking pet.
While we can’t hear it, the video description claims that the parrot even talks at people as the Camaro rolls along. It’s certainly a unique way to stand out among the Bugattis and Ferraris of Dubai, though it’d be even cooler if the parrot could learn to fly alongside the Camaro at low speeds. It’s not every car that has its own talking mascot, after all.
