Check it out… its a fact. The calendar promises that Spring will arrive later this month. Those of us not residing south of the Mason-Dixon line will be looking forward to that day when we can pull our hibernating cars out and start getting ready to cruise.
Just in case you’re in need of a new or replacement ride, Hennessey Performance Engineering is on top of it, having just got their first HPE600 Camaro Convertible through the assembly and test phases. As the Camaro convertible starts arriving in dealerships across the country, look for it to be the hottest ride around this Spring.
Two years ago, HPE did their first supercharged Camaro with 600 crank horsepower, and the same magic, applied to the drop top version has it punching out 501 HP and 504 ft-lb of torque at the rear wheels.
The TVS2300 supercharger install is supplemented by HPE’s cold air induction kit, stainless long tubes with hi-flow cats, upgraded fuel injectors and dyno tuning. The HPE 600 Camaro remains a bit of a sleeper, with typical but not overdone badging. HPE does provide floor mats, embroidered headrests, dash and engine bay plaques and a modified engine cover.
