Between The Smoking Tire and /DRIVE, Matt Farah gets to drive some pretty amazing vehicles. In this episode of The Smoking Tire, Farah gets to compare an original DeTomaso Pantera GTS against the RingBrothers‘ 2013 SEMA creation, ADRNLN.
You may remember when we featured the car at the SEMA show, but now we actually get to see it in motion. In fact, Jim Ring states in the video that this was the first time the car has driven on the road due to the weather in Wisconsin.
There are so many aspects of the car that are different than the factory Pantera GTS, but the first thing we wanted to make known is that ADRNLN is LS3-powered, and 600 horsepower at that! Farah states in the video that the Ford 351 Cleveland engine is great for the factory application, but Ring makes it a point that you just can’t beat the reliability, drivability, power, and bang-for-your-buck of an LS engine – we second that, of course.
Virtually every part of the car has been customized to the RingBrothers’ specs; from the interior, to the suspension, to the custom body touches, this is one epic build. One particularly interesting part of the build that we love is the interior. Nike actually reached out to the RingBrothers because they really wanted to do a collaboration with them, and who wouldn’t? Aside from helping design the interior of the car, Nike also made a set of custom shoes to go with the car.
There really is a lot to talk about on this car, which goes for any RingBrothers build, actually. Watch the video and be check out the comparison between the two – they’re drastically different.
