Recent Sideshow Results in the Impounding of a Corvette

In a recent enforcement of “sideshow” activity in the California Bay area, Stockton police impounded a Corvette culprit. The Corvette in question had previously been spotted by police in March in a parking lot taking part in a sideshow by performing erratic driving and doing doughnuts. Upon police attempting to pull the driver over, he failed to pull over and led police on a high speed chase reaching speeds over 100 mph on Interstate 5.

As public safety takes precedence, the officers reluctantly gave up the chase. Investigators later located the Chevy Corvette in the 500 block of Curran Avenue, in Sacramento where traffic officers were able to take possession of the vehicle.

With the tale tail sign of circle pattern skid marks and burnt rubber markings left in many local Stockton business parking lots, several incidents have been reported to authorities. A zero tolerance policy is now in place, and officers have been actively looking for cars identified in recent Stockton sideshows in both the city of Stockton and the surrounding areas including Modesto and Sacramento.

Authorities mentioned that if officers are able to identify a vehicle involved in sideshow activity, they will not hesitate to impound it. With drivers facing appropriate charges, vehicles can be held for up to 45 days incurring thousands of dollars in fines. Sideshows are dangerous for not only the driver but potential passengers and onlookers as well. Investigators are warning the public that even non-Stockton residents will be pursued by the police department if involvement is suspected.

Growing up in Greenwood, Indiana a short distance from the world famous Indianapolis Motor Speedway, my dad would take me to local car shows and events. Through this I gained my passion. Along with cars, I have always loved photography, writing, and graphic arts. However when attending college I did not pursue my passions. I played it safe and majored in business and marketing. After a few years in this field I determined this was not for me and began to pursue a writing and photography career. Landing me here with Power Automedia. I am also now the business owner of Bridgett's Toxic Creations. Specializing in automobile showboards, custom license plates, logos, and website headers. Living and breathing the Mustang life everyday in everyway. To be able to work in my field of passion is amazing and fun experience everyday. The best part is sharing a common passion with others.
