Recently, we were able to meet up with Jay Rohrback from Lingenfelter at the Good Guys PPG Nationals event in Columbus, Ohio.
After checking out some of the sweet rides they brought with them, we asked Rohrback to explain a little about them and give us some insight about what we can expect to see soon and anything new with Lingenfelther.
Rohrback was happy to explain, “Well first off we have a Karl’s Kustom C6 Z06, with the Lingenfelter 660 hp LS7 engine package and a Karl’s Kustom ’67 body on it. Other than our engine package, the drivetrain is fairly stock, this car has garnered a lot of attention here this weekend. ”
“On this side we have a brand-new 2015 Z06 with our Stage 1 Package which produces about 720 hp and 730 lb-ft of torque. The Stage 1 consists of a lower dampener and pulley, an air intake, belt change, a tensioner change, and finally our calibration.” We have more information on Lingenfelter’s Stage 1 Package for the C7 Z06 available as well.
After day dreaming about the Vettes some more, we asked Rohrback what else is new with Corvette product development and Lingenfelter in general.
Rohrback filled us in, “We currently have a Stage 2 Package in development for the C7 Z06, though it’s not quite ready. Other than that, we are opening up a new 23,000 sq./ft. warehouse next week, which is a big deal for us. We have two shops now, the original in Decatur, Indiana as well as one in Wixom, Michigan, which allows us to get more vehicles in. We have had a long waiting list for years, and we are trying to cut down on that time so we no longer need to tell people that it’s two, four, or even six weeks until they can get in and get their car done.
All in all, it was great to catch up with our friends at Lingenfelter, and we can’t wait to see the Stage 2!
