Cadillac’s CTS-V received a warm welcome from enthusiasts and aftermarket performance companies alike. These cars are fast right off the dealer’s sales lot, but add in twin turbos and get ready to drool. The guys over at ls1tech.com found videos of a CTS-V that was treated to a custom twin-turbo kit and a 3-inch exhaust at V&P Racing/Vettes and Performance. A combination of the stock supercharger and twin Precision Billet 62mm turbos delivers 731 horsepower and 704 lb ft of torque to the rear wheels with full boost at only 2,000 rpm. Along with the addition of the turbo kit, the guys over at V&P Racing added a custom polished 3-inch exhaust system that gives the CTS-V a little extra breathing room.
During the first video montage, a slide show of the parts and the completed install tease viewers, but hearing the CTS-V on the dyno is an audiophile’s dream. Watching a car create impressive horsepower and torque is nice, but seeing what 731 horsepower does to a set of tires is so much better. In the second video, the CTS-V is shown destroying the tires in the parking of their facility. Clouds of tire smoke erupt from underneath, as the pavement is treated to two long black marks that serve as reminder that this car is not stock.
