If you haven’t heard of Lingenfelter Performance Engineering (LPE) by now, you are either extremely new to the GM performance scene, or have been living in the woods making car parts out of ore you refined and cast yourself. Either way, it would behove you to familiarize yourself with the brand, and in a hurry. Why you ask? Because Lingenfelter is currently offering no less than 10 separate packages for LT-powered cars that can see you making anywhere from 600 horsepower up to 800! You read that right, these packages start at 600 horsepower. Interested now?

Lingenfelter has been one of the first names in late-model GM performance for going on 43 years, and is renowned for building cars that behave like their stock counter parts; but with substantially more capability. Naturally, some of the options are more aggressive than others, and are more detectible— but none of these will prohibit you from daily driving your gen-V powered ride.

Sixth-Gen Camaro

Lets start by going over what LPE has to offer for the 2016+ Camaro. While the sixth generation of Camaro is a capable performer right off the line, there is still some meat on the bone there, and Lingenfelter wasted no time exploiting that fact.

600 Horsepower Package

Their ‘basic’ kit ensures that your sixth-gen will produce 600 bhp and 500 lb.-ft. of torque when they are done with it. It includes Lingenfelter CNC ported and polished cylinder heads with 2.13-inch hollow-stem intake valves, alongside 1.59-inch exhaust valves. The bumpstick is upgraded to a COMP Cams unit; the specifications of which are proprietary — but ensure an aggressive idle. However, this does delete the factory Active Fuel Management (AFM) and variable cam timing systems in the search of additional power — we don’t think you’ll miss it much when you get your car back, though.

The valves are controlled by Lingenfelter’s dual springs, which are capped off with titanium retainers and 10-degree locks. A ported and polished throttle body smooths out the incoming air charge, and a high-flow Green Filter ensures the mill has plenty of clean atmosphere.

The car is then reprogrammed by LPE and dyno tested to ensure the power levels are up to snuff, and that everything is operating correctly. Lingenfelter even claims that at this power level, highway gas milage is not negatively impacted by the modifications. The package also comes with a 3 year/36,000 mile warranty, a certificate of authenticity, and chrome Lingenfelter exterior and interior stainless-steel badges.

Not bad for just $9,995, considering the entire package is installed, tuned and tested at Lingenfelter. Especially when you take into account the fact that just a set of headers, high-flow cats and a full exhaust would cost you around $3,500, and would only add 30-40 horsepower — without taking into account the cost of installation.

630 Horsepower Package

For those that would prefer to retain the factory AFM and variable cam timing systems, LPE also offers a more powerful package that uses an intercooled Magnuson Heartbeat TVS2300 supercharger to boost the sixth-gen’s power output to 630 bhp and 600 lb.-ft. of torque. This leaves drivability (and again, highway fuel milage) virtually unaffected. It also comes with the same certificate, badges and warranty as the aforementioned kit, and only costs around $1,000 more than the naturally-aspirated package.

C7 Corvette Stingray

Corvette owner’s will be thrilled to hear that two-thirds of this list belongs solely to them. That’s right; eight of the 10 packages Lingenfelter offers to LT owners are focused on the General’s flagship model.

600 Horsepower Package

We’ll start with the “lowly” 600-horsepower package; which effectively incorporates the same modifications that are available on the sixth-gen Camaro. To reiterate, LPE swaps out the cam, ports and polishes the heads, streamlines the intake system and gives it a tune to have any LT1-powered ‘Vette producing 600 ponies in no time. Not bad for a package that produces that much power and still retains a 3 year/36,00 mile warranty.

650 Horsepower 416 CI Package

This package takes the 600 horse components one step further by adding more displacement to the equation, and is available in wet- or dry-sump configurations.

A specially prepped LT1 block is stuffed with Mahle forged coated aluminum pistons, made from high tensile 2618-T6 alloy in a 4.070-inch diameter. A Callies 4.00-inch forged steel crankshaft spins Oliver billet 4340-grade forged steel I-beam connecting rods; and the rotating assembly is computer balanced to achieve a 416 cubic-inch behemoth, capable of laying down 650 bhp and 520 lb.-ft. of torque.

Even with the additional cubic-inches, Lingenfelter still offers a 3 year/36,000 mile warranty and claims that it doesn’t impact highway fuel economy, or seriously degrade drivability.

624 Horsepower Forced Induction Package

If serious internal modification and increased displacement is slightly outside your wheel house, LPE offers a 624 bhp and 600 ft.-lb. kit that merely adds an Edelbrock E-Force TVS2300 intercooled supercharger to the equation. The kit is available in your choice of grey or red powder coating.

This package offers very similar driving characteristics to a stock C7, but with substantially more oomph.

700 Horsepower Package– Forced Induction Plus CNC Heads and Cam

If you’d like to retain your stock displacement, but don’t mind parting ways with your factory bumpstick and the accompanying AFM and variable cam timing, then this is the package for you.

Combining the 600 bhp package’s heads and cam with the aforementioned Edelbrock E-Force TVS2300 supercharger results in 700 bhp and 665 lb.-ft. of torque. This means your LT1-powered ‘Vette would be producing more power than its C7 Z06 older brother.

750 Horsepower Package

Even more crazy than the already insane packages from Lingenfelter, this kit combines the 416 cubic inch LT1 that we previously mentioned, with an Edelbrock E-Force supercharger to wring-out 750 bhp and 700 lb.-ft. of torque from the mill. And as always, it’s available with LPE’s 3 year/36,000 mile warranty.

The package comes equipped with the LT4’s direct injection fuel pump and fuel injectors to support the additional ponies. Unbelievably, all of this manages to squeeze in under the factory hood somehow.

Z06

Finally, we have the mac-daddy of all Corvettes, the Z06. If the LT4’s 650 horsepower and 650 lb.-ft. of torque just isn’t enough anymore, Lingenfelter has a solution for you.

720 Horsepower Package

The least invasive of the packages offered by LPE comes equipped with a 9.2-inch/15-percent supercharger drive damper pulley, accompanied by a 100 mm idler pulley kit; resulting in more boost. Add a little tuning wizardry, a high-flow drop in air filter, and you’ve got yourself a 720 bhp monster that also has 730 lb.-ft. of torque. This equates to roughly 627 rear wheel horsepower, which is absolutely insane if you ask us.

Yet, it still retains stock drivability and near-stock fuel economy. The added components come with a 1 year/12,000 mile warranty, and you get all of the related badging and certificates to show off to your friends who only have stock Z06s — idiots.

750 Horsepower Package

This package adds the CNC ported heads we previously mentioned, which feature the 2.13-inch hollow stem intake valves accompanied by a set of 1.59-inch exhaust valves. One interesting fact to note, is that the valves have been treated to a three-angle valve job, and the valves seats have been hand blended. A Lingenfelter GT35 LT4 hydraulic roller camshaft is added to the mix, which deletes the AFM and variable cam timing — along with a ported and polished throttle body.

The previously mentioned under drive pulleys ‘up the boost’ from the stock supercharger, which of course breathes through a high-flow Green Filter. All of this results in 750 bhp and 750 lb.-ft. of torque, and a 2 year/24,000 mile warranty is available on the additional parts.

800 Horsepower Package

The anticipation must be killing you, because this is the king of the hill. This package comes with everything from the stage 1 and 2 kits, but then adds the Edelbrock E-Force TVS2300 supercharger to the equation. This ups power production to 800 bhp and 750 lb.-ft. of torque, and is available with a 2 year/24,000 mile warranty as well. While the price of the package may be a little steep at $17,950, you’d be hard pressed to make more horsepower and still retain a warranty with the addition of any other go-fast components.

Whether you want mild or wild, Lingenfelter has you covered, and is willing to return you a well-put-together, fire-breathing monster if you are willing to drop the coin. Or, if you’re so inclined, they offer most of their parts separately, which would allow you to add them yourself. No matter what you choose, you really can’t go wrong when choosing Lingenfelter.
