It never fails — when you add more power to a vehicle, you’ll find the weak link sooner or later. When you bolt on a set of sticky tires, this problem compounds. It could be the transmission, driveshaft, or a variety of other components that will fail and could leave you a little short on raceday. But, when your rearend has finally had enough, Moser Engineering has a bolt-in solution that will fit your needs.
With Moser Engineering’s Muscle Pak lineup, you can choose from nearly any popular-style rearend you’re looking for, and it will simply bolt right in to the factory location. They offer it in a Chevrolet 12-bolt, Ford 9-inch, Ford 8.8-inch, Mopar 8 3/4-inch, and in all common vehicle makes and models. All of these rearends are new, so you don’t have to worry about it being remanufactured, refurbished, or a rebuilt unit. Best of all, they are completely pre-assembled and ready to install; you simply navigate to Moser’s online store, find the rear axle of your choice, select your make/model, and the options you want with it. Moser will then have your new rearend ready to ship in normally 3 to 5 business days.
Depending on your Muscle Pak selection, the axle will come standard with the housing of your choice that is made right here in the U.S.A., with OEM-located mounting provisions, seamless steel tubing, custom alloy 30-spline axles, studs, seals, retainer plates, housing ends, 1310 series pinion yoke, ring-and-pinion, rear cover, bearings, drum brakes, brake lines and clamps, emergency brake cables, all assembled. If you’re needing something custom, Moser can handle that as well. Options include: factory-style brackets, a bare housing, different bolt patterns and stud sizes, gear ratios, gear type, axles, powdercoating, differential fluid, and your choice of disc brakes.
If all of this information seems a little overwhelming, feel free to give the sales team at Moser a call. They will be more than happy to answer any of your questions and give you expert advice on your setup, no matter where you are in your vehicle’s build stage.
