How can you take an absolutely awesome American built supercar, and manage to give it a very, very weird vibe? The answer is to use an oddball music video to debut the car to the world, and that is just what the Florida based Mosler has done to introduce their awesome Raptor-GTR supercar to the world. This music video we found on Autoblog, is titled “Feel My Fire”, and is performed by Abby Cubey – words can’t really describe it, so you’ll just have to watch it for yourself.
Other than the slightly baffling video Mosler is using to announce its arrival, the Raptor-GTR totally has the recipe for “awesomeness” down pat. The car’s sleek, two-seater body is completely made out of carbon fiber, and the entire car weighs in at the diminutive sum of 1173 kilograms, or 2850 pounds. It is powered by a twin turboed, fire breathing LS7 that cranks out 838 horsepower.
Mosler claims that the Raptor-GTR is capable of turning in 2.6 second trips to 60 miles per hour, and will finally top out at around 240 miles per hour. The only known test of a Raptor-GTR was performed by the guys on SPEED’s The Car Show, and unfortunately they were only able to wring out 189 miles per hour, on a blisteringly hot summer day. Perhaps if 838 HP isn’t quite enough to hit the mark, Mosler can upgrade you to the “Cubey-GTR” which produces a mind-boggling 1212 HP.
UPDATE: The original video was set to private, so now we have the short version… Still weird.
