With the 2015 racing season at a close, Corvette Racing now has their sights fully set on 2016. On Thursday of last week, following their lineup confirmation announcement for Daytona and Sebring, the race team declared that brothers Ricky and Jordan Taylor will be its third drivers for the 2016 24 Hours of Le Mans, held from the 18th to 19th of June.

Both brothers have competed in the 24 Hours of Le Mans before, but this will be Ricky’s first time doing so with Corvette Racing.

For Jordan, on the other hand, this will be his fifth consecutive Le Mans with Corvette Racing. He was a member of the winning Le Mans line-up for this past year, and also the second-placing lineup in 2014.

Outside of the Le Mans, the brothers have seen great success in both the Corvette Racing program and competitive racing, in general.

This isn’t much of a surprise, as both brothers were practically raised on the track by their racing-champion father, Wayne Taylor.

Wayne, the owner of Wayne Taylor Racing, helped provide both Ricky and Jordan with their starts in endurance racing.

Since their debuts, they have collectively seen dozens of wins, poles, and podium finishes, with a few near-record-setting streaks. They have raced together in the DP class with Wayne Taylor Racing for the past two years, winning four TUDOR United SportsCar Championship races in a Corvette Daytona Prototype car.

Obviously, they are no strangers to success in endurance racing. They have already applied their talents behind the wheel of Corvette Racing’s cars in the past, and the program hopes that they can once again help the Corvette dominate Le Mans.
