Bowling Green,Kentucky is ground zero for the Corvette faithful. The wailing wall that every Chevy sports car fan should have on their bucket list. Not only has GM’s Corvette factory been there since 1981, the National Corvette Museum is across the highway aand recently finished a full-on motorsports park. If that wasn’t enough and you need another reason to visit this trifecta of all things Corvette, the museum is putting on a fun filled hootenanny this weekend.
Aside from auctions, car shows and golfing events, Chevrolet will take this opportunity to introduce the 2017 Corvette and detail the updates and changes to the latest versions of C7 Corvette Sting Ray and Z06. We know new colors and trim packages are on deck, but soon we’ll get the entire update.
According to the NCM, “The event will feature speakers discussing ‘What’s new in the 2017 model year’, the award winning C7 body structure, as well as using the 7th generation navigation system. As in past years there will be a large contingent of GM engineers and designer from Warren Tech Center, Milford Proving Ground and the Bowling Green Assembly Plant ready to answer your every question. Also there will be a LT4 Engine building demonstration by BGAP Rob Nichols and Brian Lee.”
If you need even more reasons than the aforementioned, there’s a racetrack next to the museum as well. Get over over to Bowling Green and check it out. We’ve taken the factory tour and it’s absolutely a must see for Corvette fans.
