PRI 2014: Turbonetics Plays Host To ‘The Fastest Chick In Oklahoma’

When it comes to going fast, Turbonetics Inc., is no stranger to bumping up the horsepower. In the case of Tina Pierce, who used Turbonetics turbos, watesgates, blowoff valves and a custom intercooler in her Chevy S-10 truck to become the “fastest chick in the state,” she won’t tell us how much horsepower her combination makes.

“I could tell you how much power I’m making but it’s on a need to know basis. I could tell you… but I’d have to kill you,” says the smiling speedster. “Turbonetics makes my truck go a lot faster than before when I was on nitrous.” She would tell us, without the threat of death, what size Turbonetics turbos she was running. “I have twin 72mm turbos on it, two waste gates, a blowoff valve, and a custom made intercooler.”

Pierce can routinely be found at Thunder Valley Raceway, Ardmore Dragway and Tulsa Raceway Park beating up on the boys with her Chevy S-10 Turbonetics setup. You can chase this attractive lady, but it’s not likely that you can catch her unless you have the right Turbonetics combination under your hood.

PRI 2014: Turbonetics Massive Lineup Offers Something for Everyone:

Something for everyone means from the hardcore racer to the simplest street machine, so we met up with Turbonetics’ Reggie Wynn at this years PRI tradeshow to discuss the Turbonetics’ turbo line up breakdown from the all new TNX offerings to the legacy T3 turbos and what’s coming on the horizon for the new upcoming year.

“We have a lot of exciting new things coming this year,” said Wynn. “Probably the most exciting is a bigger turbo than what we currently offer now. Our largest turbo right now is a Thumper 115, and you’re going to see us go even larger than that, so stay tuned.”

Turbonetics turbos support the industry standard flanging with the new TNX line offering all new compressor wheel design, slim bearing housing design and the TX 20 turbo that features an internal waste gate.

In addition to the larger turbo to be released sometime next year, Turbonetics has unveiled the TNX turbo line. The new TNX line of turbocharger is able to support anywhere from 200 to 800 horsepower and are available in T25, T3, and T4 footprints and with optional V-band or hose outlet on the compressor cover.
