More power is always a good thing, and our friends at ProCharger are always looking for ways to add a boost to an engine. At this year’s PRI show, the company had a supercharger system geared explicitly for vehicles that already have an LS swap.
The ProCharger GM LS swap kit is available in a driver’s or passenger’s side mount, depending on your vehicle’s needs. With these options, it makes fitting the supercharger system possible — no matter the make or model of the car or truck. The kit on display was shown with ProCharger’s F-1A-94 head unit, which is good for a monstrous 1,500-plus horsepower. The Kit will afford the option of using either an eight- or ten-rib belt. Some of the things that we love about this kit are the robust brackets and the amount of belt wrap to ensure it doesn’t slip. We also love that this system can make some serious power.
While in the booth, we also got some inside information from the folks at ProCharger about a new accessory-drive system that’s coming soon. Rumor is, this unit will be a standalone drive, meaning it can be used with or without a ProCharger head unit. This will allow the end-user to purchase the drive system and utilize it on their LS-powered vehicle immediately. Then later down the road, they can add the ProCharger kit when the time is right.
We’re excited to see this new product come to market and see its advantages in the near future.
