SEMA 2014: Tuff Stuff Introduces Flashy Accessories For Restomods

Tuff Stuff Performance Accessories was a sight to see at this year’s SEMA Show, and made sure to make the most of the opportunity by packing along some great new products for all to see. And as far as the shine coming out of that booth there in the Central Hall, nobody else in the near vicinity could come close.

We were able to catch up with Bud Riser, marketing representative for Tuff Stuff, as he was able to walk us through the big additions to Tuff Stuff’s lineup this year. “Here, we have our line of Saginaw power steering pumps, both the teardrop model for newer vehicles, as well as the straight-up-and-down banjo style, which we offer for GM cars like Camaros, Corvettes, and Chevy II/Novas,” said Riser.

With accommodations for small-block and big-block motors, the Saginaw style water pumps receive tons of attention from muscle car and classic truck enthusiasts alike. On the flipside, smoothie water pumps were also on display, looking fine under the lights of the Central Hall. “They’ve got a smooth top and a smooth design that just makes for a much more attractive presentation on street rods and muscle cars,” said Riser. Available in three finishes–powder coated, as-cast, and sparkling chrome–the pumps could mix and match to meet a user’s aesthetic demands.

On the technological side of things, the smoothie water pumps were able to move 30 percent more fluid through the cooling system using the new SuperCool impeller. “We found this reduces the overall temperature in a vehicle’s system by about 20 degrees Fahrenheit,” said Riser.

And it wouldn’t be a Tuff Stuff booth without some sweet-looking alternators to gawk at. “We have a complete line of alternators for Ford, Mopar, and GM, and they range anywhere from 60 amps all the way up to a powerful 225 amps,” commented Riser. We were quick to notice the bullet-nosed model resting on the display table, done up in a wonderful chrome finish for maximum effect.

Finally, we capped off our visit with a look at the various chrome-plated accessories that round out Tuff Stuff’s catalog. “We’ve got booster and master cylinder combos for any and all applications, whether they’re four-wheel-drum, two-drum-two-disc, or four-wheel-disc brake automobiles,” said Riser. “Jeeps, trucks, and other old-fashioned units can get a great revamp out of our chrome kits.”

We’re satisfied to say that Tuff Stuff left us stunned by the shiny, chic products they had on display. If you feel the same, then head on over to Tuff Stuff’s website, or give them a phone call with the contact information provided below.
