SEMA 2015: Hifonics Celebrates 35, MB Quart Hits The High Notes

Hifonics will celebrate 35 years of chest-pounding power in 2016, and MB Quart will be hitting the high notes debuting a number of new products at the SEMA Show.

1972 Camaro: Chad Marra, Elite Car Audio, Mesa, Arizona

Hifonics will celebrate its 35th anniversary in 2016. A lot of the gear on this Camaro, and the other tricked out cars, is being previewed at SEMA, with the full launch slated for 2016 CES Show in January. The Camaro, built by Elite Car Audio, helps launch three models of the 35th Anniversary amplifier; the Colossus dual mono Ultra D Class, the Goliath also a 3,000 watt RMS Super D Class, Helios is 600-watt RMS four channel Super A/B Class. In addition to these Super Amps, there will be a full line of Brutus Elite 35, which continues the Elite program for Hifonics for brick and mortar dealers only.

1961 Impala: Chad Marra, Elite Car Audio, Mesa, Arizona

The 1961 Impala has been in the owner’s family since his mother bought it new in 1961. It is now a full-blown show car that features all Hifonics Elite products. The BZE speakers and BEX amplifiers along with the BRX illuminated subwoofers.

1969 Road Runner: Tyler Scarfe, HPI Customs, Manitoba, Canada

Check out our video review of this seductive Pro Touring Road Runner.

The interior features a custom sheetmetal dash that was hand-fabricated in-house by HPI Customs, and CNC machined gauge clusters, switch panels, and trim. The dash houses a Pioneer double DIN head unit that feeds a full complement of MB Quart amplifiers and speakers. Featuring are M-Line amps, 1,000 watt, four channel amps in the trunk that feeds a 10-inch M-Line shallow sub in the rear package tray along with four Z-Line component speakers. “We like to use MB Quart for more than just the aesthetics of the product that matches the level of quality of our builds,” says Tyler Scarfe. “We don’t have to hide over-blingy audio equipment, this is refined and classy looking gear but it’s the sound that keeps us coming back. It’s amazing, the amps have a lot of power coming from a small package and the clarity of the speakers is absolutely incredible.”
