SEMA 2015: McLeod Adds Bulletproof Applications To Lineup

IMG_3314The month of November is upon us once again, and while most people are beginning to think about turkeys and holiday weekends, the automotive world is buzzing about the annual SEMA Show in Las Vegas. This trade show enables us to see many products and custom vehicles brand new to the market, and those that will be sold in the coming year.

Fortunately, we are able to give you an inside look into the some of these awesome products, so keep it locked on your favorite publication and stay tuned for news and cars live from SEMA Show 2015!

We spoke with Billy Mieczkowski of McLeod who was happy to explain, “Our Street Tuner is a basic stock replacement. The Street Power clutch was built to handle a couple of bolt-on modifications, while the Street Elite can handle those cars typically built with turbos or nitrous systems. Lastly, our Street Supreme is intended for full racing applications. We also are now offering a chromoly flywheel for a few specific vehicles as well.”

Mieczkowski continued, “Our spun aluminum bell housings for small and big-block Chevys, and small-block Fords come with a steel or a titanium liner to keep them SFI-rated. The Chevrolets are a Muncie pattern and the Fords are a top-loader pattern. Additionally, we have a new line of our RXTs, now called the RXT1200, which comes with a high-clampload pressure plate that can take an additional 200 horsepower at the crank, so it’s rated to 1,200 horsepower and torque. These would be used primarily for street/strip cars, and Late Model stuff. The RST can take up to 800 horsepower, though it is not recommended for those that are planning on running slicks at the track.”
