SEMA 2015: Reggie Jackson Visits Classic Industries With His Bel Air

rj-3Whether you’re a hobbyist, a builder, a shop, or an all-star Hall of Famer with an amazing collection of classic cars, you need parts you can rely on. With an extensive GM inventory in several parts catalogs, Classic Industries has been the company that Reggie Jackson calls on for the parts for his Camaros, Novas, Impalas, and his beautiful 1956 Bel Air.

We caught up with Mr. October at the 2015 SEMA Show to ask him a little bit about his Bel Air, and a few of his other cars. He told us, “I’ve got a hardtop, I’ve got a post, so it was time for a convert.” If you’ve seen any of Jackson’s other cars, you’ll know that he’s got quite an extensive collection of beautiful cars, and he relies on Classic Industries to provide the parts he needs.

Jackson has had a 30-plus year relationship with Classic Industries, and his 1956 Bel Air convertible is a fairly unique specimen with the dual quad and manual transmission. Jackson said it was hard to find, and he’s always wanted a ’56. You can look forward to his new website coming out called Reggie’s Garage, and where he is proud to say that Classic Industries will be his supplier.

But Classic Industries isn’t just about the Tri-Fives, it has extended coverage for several popular GM vehicles, and is constantly expanding the line to cover the big Chevrolets, and the X-body Nova as well. There were plenty of new parts on display this year, including a full set of interior trim for the Nova. Edgar Soler from OER told us that the correct grain is on these parts, and while the cars are popular and many, the parts have not all weathered the years.

Parts are typically cracked or broken, and the process to repair these plastic trim panels is tedious and difficult. Finding a source to get replacement panels is going to take a lot of stress and wasted time away from a project and Classic Industries. The full size Impala grilles were also on display, providing another piece to the restoration puzzle that has been all but impossible to find — but now you know exactly where you can find it.

So, whether you’re restoring an old Nova, a Tri-Five, Camaro, or just about any other classic GM vehicle, check out the Classic Industries website and download a free catalog with a full line of parts for you car.
