Bruce states, “The secret is never to let the bolt start moving.” That is the genius of this design— it makes impossible for the bolt to back off without first removing the E-clip and the locking tab. The result will be less time spent tightening up bolts that are backing off and exhaust gaskets that can actually be utilized for an extended period.
