SEMA 2024 Preview: AkzoNobel & Dave Kindig To Display TwelveAir

SEMA 2024 Preview: AkzoNobel & Dave Kindig To Display TwelveAir

For fans of Dave Kindig, his TwelveAir Corvette custom might be the epitome of his career. Built as an homage to the show car Corvair, a Corvette fastback that debuted at the 1954 Motorama, Kindig took the idea to the next level. As always, the build was impeccable in execution and won the 2024 Ridler Award in Detroit. If you are heading to SEMA next week, the TwelveAir will be there in the flesh, holding court for showgoers.

AkzoNobel, a long-time partner with Dave Kindig, the star of Motor Trend Network’s Bitchin’ Rides and the creator of Kindig-it Design, will host the car at the 2024 SEMA Show. This highly anticipated event will take place from November 5 to November 8, 2024, at the Las Vegas Convention Center in Nevada.

AkzoNobel will have a prominent presence inside Central Hall, occupying booth #22957. This booth will be dedicated to showcasing its Modern Classikk and Sikkens brands, as well as its innovative digital body shop workflow control solution, Carbeat. Visitors to the booth will have the opportunity to see the Ridler Award-winning Twelve Air, sprayed out in Modern Classikk “Infrared.” The unveiling of Twelve Air is scheduled for 9:30 am on the first day of SEMA, immediately followed by another surprise unveiling. SEMA Live will be broadcasting from AkzoNobel’s booth during these unveilings, adding to the mystery and excitement of TwelveAir.

In addition to the Central Hall booth, AkzoNobel and Kindig-it Design will share a 2,400-square-foot exhibit space outside Central Hall in the Silver Lot, booth #81220. This space will feature several unique and custom vehicles, including a 1959 Porsche painted in Modern Classikk–UnderSlated, a 1963 VW Convertible Beetle painted in a new Modern Classikk color called Bering Sea Blue, and Kindig custom CF1 Cabriolets painted in Modern Classikk–Deep Freeze and a custom Sikkens mix called British Racing Green. These vehicles are expected to draw significant attention from attendees, showcasing the exceptional craftsmanship and innovative designs that Kindig-it Design is known for creating.
