There’s not much to say about this video, it’s just pure fun. What we have is a 1970 Chevelle just flat out boiling the tires. This is the kind of fun that leaves a smile on your face for hours.
We can see this ‘Velle is rocking a two tone paint job; orange on top and black on the bottom with a silver stripe separating the two. Large 20″ wheels with huge disc brakes fill the rims and give this car a wicked stance. We really like the modern look of the car. There’s no chrome either, including the bumpers.
This video doesn’t state much about the motor but we looked the car up on other videos. In the engine bay is a supercharged LSX. Throughout the video you can hear the blow-off valve releasing boost as he feathers the throttle. He goes by “SS Shaun” on YouTube and that’s what the license plate reads as well. No word if this is a real SS Chevelle or not though.
By the looks of the rubber coated asphalt, it seems this is a normal past time for this group of buddies. Is this a pure waste of tires? You bet. Is it worth it? You bet. Just pure clean fun driving a blown Chevelle doing burnouts, does it really get any better then that? Like they always say “Smoke tires, not drugs.”
If you want to see more of this car, there is some illegal street racing videos of the car on YouTube. We see one of him racing a 4th Gen Camaro along with one of him racing a Fox Body Mustang, with an LSX motor as well.
