Camaros Limited Nor-Cal Hosts a Killer Event

Car enthusiasts can be some of the most passionate people around. They cherish their vehicles for all of the right reasons, and not for any of the superficial ideals. Driving, cleaning, and otherwise enjoying the car for its beauty, its art, and in some cases, its historical lineage is what continues to motivate this hobby in the right direction.

Two early 2nd-Gens represented their era well.

To solidify that argument, allow us to introduce a group of Camaro owners based in the Northern California area. Known as Camaros Limited Nor-Cal, their club is open to all years of Camaros, stemming from the 1967 original all the way to today’s supercharged ZL1.

But this wasn’t a sole effort of only one car club. An exclusive 5th-Gen Camaro club that has recently launched, called SF5THGEN, contributed to the cause as well.

As a way to celebrate their vehicles, and essentially get together to catch up, they hosted a car meet at GM Sports Salvage in San Jose, California – a wrecking yard jam-packed with classic, vintage GM iron.

Honestly, is there anything NOT to like about a '69 Camaro? The '99 featured on the right is an original 11,000-mile SLP SS.

The turnout turned out to be a small, but very impressive one. Camaros of every generation were well-represented, except the third body style – it just goes to show that 3rd-Gen owners from Northern California need to step up!

The club’s president, Jason Port, is one of the most passionate Camaro fans of all. He’s currently an owner of a 2012 ZL1, and also established several quickly-growing Camaro fan sites, including CamaroG6.com, a site solely directed towards the next generation Camaro.

He was quoted by the Examiner saying, “It’s all about meeting new people and enjoying the cars.” We couldn’t agree with him more…
