Summertime is here and the living is easy. For car folks up north, automotive hibernation season is officially over and this is the time for renewal and fair weather cruising. The best part of summer is car shows, and a real doozy event is right around the corner.
The Continental Tire Street Machine Nationals are back at the Du Quoin State Fairgrounds in Illinois, Friday, June 24 through Sunday, June 26. A wide array of killer high-performance street machines, hot rods, street trucks, and cruisers will be attending in full force.
Participants come to display their performance cars for the weekend and compete in the racing events, judge awards, and swap fabrication techniques with other like-minded enthusiasts. Vendors and sponsors come to sell their wares and interact with the fans that use them on their project cars. Spectators come to watch and learn – and take in the gorgeous views of thousands of awesome show cars as far as the eye can see.
Pro Street Alley will feature some of the biggest names in the Pro Street world. In addition to the cars, check out the Performance Marketplace to shop for the latest aftermarket parts, with “Show-only” pricing. The Continental Tires Burnout Contest and the DYNO Challenge Presented by Midwest Mobile Dyno and Redline Motorsports Inc. test the true performance of participants’ vehicles.
The event is brought to you by promoter Bonnier, be sure and check out all their shows this season!
