Last year GM give the Camaro a fresh new look and an ultimate track version, the Z/28, among other updates. It was a big year for the Camaro, which is why we don’t expect any major announcements from the Camaro corner for awhile. Instead, GM will be giving us small package updates and options, like the new Deep Magenta shade of purple that recently debuted.
Opinions will differ, but these photos from Camaro5 user VChula reveal the latest shade GM is offering to new Camaro owners. Some of you might like it. Most of you probably hate it. But there it is, in all its Deep Magenta glory.
This deep purple hue first appeared on the Chevy Sonic as a unique color option for subcompact car buyers. Perhaps that is where it should have stayed, as on the cute subcompact, the purple hue doesn’t look half bad. On the supposedly meaner Camaro however, the Deep Magenta shade seems a bit too… Lexus?
It’s of course a matter of opinion, and GM has offered previously polarizing shades like Synergy Green on the Camaro in the past. Some people also weren’t a fan of the Transformers Edition Camaro, which we thought was a cool movie tie in. But what do you think? Is the Deep Magenta Camaro just as fearsome as any other color Camaro?
