As far as rock and roll legends go, Alice Cooper stands among a pantheon of living legends whose name still carries immense weight. Fresh off releasing his 19th solo album last year, Cooper has also been busy as an actor, a radio DJ, and a car collector. But as of late, Cooper has been divesting himself of is extensive collection of cars, including several classic Camaros.
Cooper sent one of his collectible Camaros to auction at the Barrett-Jackson event in 2011. This year Cooper is forgoing the big lights of Barrett-Jackson for eBay, selling yet another one of his extensive resto-mod Camaros. Once again, it sports a LSx engine and a series of incredible modifications that make this car a must-have.
Cooper definitely has a thing for ‘69 Camaros, as this is the second one he has put up for auction. With an estimated $100,000 in modifications, this Camaro is a far cry from the original ride GM put out of their factory more than 45 years ago. Among the modifications is a 12-bolt rear end with 3:73 gears, four-wheel disc brakes, an aluminum radiator with dual electric fans, and a modern air conditioning and heating system.
But the real centerpiece is this ride is the 400 horsepower LS2 engine. Equipped with a billet serpentine belt, Dynatech headers, and a Turbo 400 automatic transmission, this car is as much a cruiser as it is a bruiser. And it can be yours for the Buy It Now price of $69,500. For that price, you also get an autographed Fender guitar signed by Cooper himself. Who can argue with that?
