While casually cruising through the listings on eBay Motors we happened to stumble across this LS swapped gem of a 1st Gen Camaro listed for sale by Starwood Motors out of Dallas, Texas. They claim this 1968 Camaro has had over $150K in parts thrown at it in a full frame-off resto. Any guesses as to the listing price?
Well this blue beastie, which is nicknamed “Snake Bit”, is listed with a Buy-It-Now of $85,888. For that you get a classic Camaro with all the goodies you would expect in a high-end Pro-Touring ride, including a full coilover suspension, big Wilwood brakes, and big forged Rushforth wheels wrapped in Nitto Tires. At the heart of this Camaro is an LS engine that we are only told comes from a CTS-V that is bolted to an automatic transmission. The listing says the engine is pushing over 500 horsepower, and since we don’t see the LSA’s factory blower bolted to the top end, it’s safe to assume the powerplant is either a modified LS2 or LS6 from a 1st gen CTS-V.
The car gets the name “Snake Bit” from the reptilian details found throughout the car including snake skin inserts on the seats, and the scale print artwork on the fuel rail covers. Perhaps those touches are a bit personal for our taste, but if it’s true that there was over $150,000 sunk into this car, then you could still be $65,000 ahead of the game.
