There’s no denying that the GM LS engine is one of the most popular platforms for hot rod, muscle car, pro-touring and even drag car builds these days, but with the Holley LS Fest fast approaching, there’s even more reason to be excited about the beloved engine. That’s right, it’s almost that time of year again when anything that carries an LS powerplant is celebrated at a massive three-day event. With the festivities just weeks away, the official T-shirt artwork was just revealed by Holley and we must say, an event shirt never looked better.
With plenty to do for every kind of car nut (even the least nutty of the bunch), the Holley LS Fest is sure to be the prime kickoff to the fall show/race season. The event will kick off on Friday September 7th with the Show-n-Shine starting at 9 a.m. at Beech Bend Raceway Park in Bowling Green, Kentucky. Friday will also host a drag racing test and tune and the Dyno Challenge until mid afternoon, autocross competitions throughout the day, two drift challenges, a speed stop challenge, and evening drag racing on the property, as well as a Countryside Cruise.
Saturday and Sunday will bring more chances to participate in drag races, autocross competitions, drift challenges, the Show-n-Shine, speed stop challenges and cruises. On Saturday, the famous Engine Swap Challenge will also take place and the weekend will be tied up Sunday evening with awards for all forms of competition.
If you’re going to the 2012 Holley LS Fest, you’re going to want to commemorate your amazing experience and the event T-shirts are the perfect way to do that. Being sold along with countless products in the vender midway, the LS Fest shirts are in-your-face impressive with a beefed up LS engine prominently displayed behind the LS Fest logo and event sponsors. Women’s and children’s shirts will also be available this year with a fitted and more subtle design for the ladies and a tribute to LS-powered trucks for the kids.
We know the Holley LS Fest is a favorite for many of our LS fans, so be sure to book your trip soon. Time’s running out and if you miss this one, it’s going to be another long year without your colossal LS fix.
