Another beautiful day here in Bradenton for eliminations. Again the track temps may give some racers problems and we are looking forward to some great racing today with LSX Drag Radial and All Motor with Greg Delany in the 8.30s setting the pace for the year.
Check back today, Saturday, and Sunday for ongoing results, photos, and updates from the track.

Josh Ledford out of the LMR camp talked with me this morning about the Fereday's ride, mentioning they are verly pleased with the switch to a Pro Torque converter, which is running about 4% slip through the top end. they are going to send it back to Joe for a slight adjustment to help keep the engine RPM up during the shift. the other issue they are having is the exhaust tubing cracking. It is a few years old and aluminum and will be replaced before the next event in Atlanta.
Rockin Al Miller from BMR is having a good weekend with the shop car running a record 60' for a stock suspension 5th Gen on drag radials with a 1.43. He is running 10.40's here this weekend in the 10.50 index so he will have to slow it down a hair today in eliminations. The rear center section is a Strange unit with axles all sourced from G Force. The engine is a 416 cubic inch piece with a Magnacharger providing boost.
Judson Massengill's SAM Racing All Motor Camaro runs a Liberty trans and multi-disc clutch set up making between round maintenance a little more intensive that the auto equipped cars.
Robert Strong runs an 87 Monte in ERL All Motor which a little different than the rest of the cars in class. Strong is based out of Pensacola, Florida with family run operation. Erik Konig from HK Racing Engines out of Texas took care of the machine work and Robert handled the engine assembly himself. The engine uses the canted valve Mozes heads with a Beck sheet metal intake topped with two Pro System SV1's. Johnny B from Pro Systems was here yesterday helping out some of the customers including Strong who is very pleased with the results and is making some suspension adjustments this morning to take advantage of the improvement. Strong started with the LSX series running True Street, as with many racers the urge to go faster hit and here he is running a premier class. The new bullet was fired up just last Saturday with the first runs here at Bradenton. Pictured from left to right, son Chris, wife Bobbie and Robert Strong.
Mike Meeks is another racer John Bitler was getting tuned up with the SV1's. Meeks has his new car this weekend, I got a chance to shoot a few pics in the pits this morning. The work by Joey Martin is innovative and topnotch, using many ideas trickled down from Pro Modified in this car, but still using the stock type suspension. Mike is looking for some mid teen 60's and breaking out some seven second runs today. Some sponsors and other shout outs include American Racing Headers, Rossler Transmissions with a Terminator 4 and Neal Chance Titanium converter, Racecraft rear housing with a Strange Ultra case and internals and Mickey Thompson tires.
