For some people, making money is an end to itself. For others, money is a means to an end – it’s the catalyst that makes what you really want to do possible. Like, for example, having a membership to the Monticello Motor Club, a “luxury automotive lifestyle resort” 90 minutes from NYC, a Cadillac CTS-V to toss sideways around the MMC track, and a big stack of tires to roast.
Of course, you better be pretty good at making money – in addition to the $63,465 base sticker price for a 2011 CTS-V, MMC membership will cost you at a bare minimum $25k in initiation fees, and three grand a year in dues for the Bronze-level membership. Step up to Gold, and you better be ready to write a check for $125,000 to get your foot in the door, and $9,600 a year through 2056, which is oddly when the “lifetime” contract term expires.
Still, watching that video makes it seem like money well spent.
