Palmer Performance Engineering is pleased to debut its next step following the successful DashCommando: the DashLogic. This device takes information seen on the HUD and DIC of many GM vehicles, and brings it into view on the dashboard. It plugs right into the OBD-II port, and requires no installation or programming.
Official Release:
From Palmer Performance Engineering, the creators of the innovative DashCommando app, now comes DashLogic. A step beyond DashCommando’s virtual dashboards that display a vehicle’s performance numbers and engine parameters on its user’s smartphone, DashLogic incorporates the existing driver information center (DIC) and heads-up display (HUD) of late model Chevrolet/GMC vehicles (applications below) to display data seamlessly on the factory dashboard.
DashLogic plugs directly into the vehicle’s OBD-II port, instantly gaining access to all the data needed for tuning, performance monitoring, and alerting the driver of custom-specified vehicle changes and conditions. Users can view boost/vacuum pressure, intake temps, calculated horsepower and torque, 0-60 time, 1/8-mile, ¼-mile, ½-mile and standing one-mile times, and much more. DashLogic includes two auxiliary inputs to add up to two aftermarket sensors for additional data that can also be viewed on the vehicle’s DIC or HUD. Data views are customizable and the odometer or trip display can easily be customized into a wideband or boost gauge. Multiple pages of gauges can be cycled through on the fly, alerts can be configured to custom-specified conditions using factory vehicle chimes and displays, and custom calculations can be created from existing vehicle data.
This is a simple plug-in device with no installation or programming necessary. When DashLogic is removed, the vehicle’s DIC and HUD revert 100% to their original settings with no changes. DashLogic eliminates the mounting and cutting involved in installing aftermarket gauges, while allowing access to all the data the driver may need right where it is most easily visible. A USB interface is used for configuration and a cable is included. A low-power sleep mode eliminates battery drain if DashLogic remains in the vehicle after it is turned off. Free updates with the latest features are available by download directly to the DashLogic unit.
DashLogic supports all Chevrolet C6 Corvette models, all fifth-generation Camaro models, all Chevrolet/GMC Pickup GMT900 gas and diesel engine models, all Cobalt models, and all Cruze gas engine models. New applications are coming soon.
