Rockin’ Right: Melling’s New LS Trunnion Kit

Upgrading to a more aggressive camshaft is one of the most common and cost-effective ways to wake up an LS engine, whether it’s a junkyard 5.3, the stock Vortec in your pickup, or a fresh crate motor. A bigger cam delivers more duration and lift, unlocking horsepower and torque throughout the rev range. However, with that increase in performance comes a new set of demands on your valvetrain.
