PRI 2015: Holley’s New Brushless Fuel Pumps and Controller

This new Holley Ultra Dominator brushless fuel pump can support up to 3,000 horsepower.

Holley Performance has been a big name in the carburetor world for quite some time now. Over recent years, the company has had dabbled in the world of modern fuel systems and fuel injection as well.

Many enthusiasts are familiar with the company’s Dominator carburetor and EFI series components — with the latest iteration of the Dominator EFI series being the most advanced to-date.

Blaine Burnett, a representative from Holley, explains how the company’s new Ultra Dominator Brushless Fuel Pumps can benefit any performance application. He says, “There are two versions of the brushless fuel pump, which are a single inlet and a dual inlet. The dual inlet incorporates two fuel pumps into one housing, providing enthusiasts with a compact fuel pump solution which can support high-horsepower applications. The twin rotor design provides this package offering high efficiency, low amp draw characteristics, which allows the end user to make pass after pass at the drag strip. This fuel pump will operate at 90 to 130 psi all day long, and is compatible with all fuel types available.”

To control all that fuel you'll also need a billet fuel pressure regulator and the Brushless Fuel Pump Controller.

As incredible as that all sounds, it gets even better. Holley says that the dual inlet pump will support over 3,000 horsepower, and can be used for a fuel-injected or a carbureted application. Another added benefit is that the company has designed the pump to be as quiet as possible, reducing noise and increasing drivability.

A single inlet brushless pump is also available.

Keep in mind, whichever pump enthusiasts choose to use, they’ll need to use Holley’s Brushless Fuel Pump Controller, as well as one of its new fuel pressure regulators. The system can also be tied into a Holley ECU allowing the end user to also manage the entire fuel system more efficiently for greater fuel economy, PSI, and more.

The Billett fuel pressure regulators also support over 3,000 horsepower, are compatible with both carbureted and fuel injected applications, and are compatible with all types of fuel available. The carbureted models have an adjustability between 4 and 9 psi base pressure, and the fuel-injected models are adjustable from 40 to 100 psi base pressure.

Holley offers a complete line of fuel system components, and these new pumps, controllers, and regulators help to round out its offerings.
