We work with some amazing companies here at Power Automedia and strive to inform you as readers what they’re all about. One of our more recent additions to the Power Automedia family is Howell Engine Developments, Inc. and what they have to offer Chevy folks in particular is nothing short of impressive.
Started in 1988 by Matt and Bill Howell, Howell Engine Developments, Inc. focuses on supporting the growing trend of using electronic fuel injection systems in hot rods, street rods and off-road applications, particularly when it comes to adapting late-model GM engines to any early-model vehicle build.
While the late-model GM powerplant may be a popular platform for street rods and off-road vehicles alike, adapting one of these engines to a vehicle that’s pre-computer controlled can be tricky. But that’s where Howell comes in!
To make adapting a late-model GM engine to any vehicle easier, Howell offers stand-alone and integrated wiring harnesses that can be connected to the engine and then tied into any vehicle’s battery and ignition power. This allows any vehicle builder to incorporate the latest in production fuel injection into any vehicle.
In addition to their wiring harnesses, Howell also offers their own complete throttle body and multi-port fuel injection systems with proven GM electronics, the company’s own wiring harness and two or four-barrel TBI and TPI units. These systems have been developed extensively on the GM big block and small block platforms and offer closed-loop fuel and spark control, as well as the standard fuel economy and durability as GM’s factory systems.
If you’re looking to incorporate a late-model GM engine into your next project, be sure to check out the quality products and ease of installation Howell Engine Developments has to offer!
