We don’t pimp vehicle classifieds here very often, so when we do, you know they’re good.

We first saw this Yenko Camaro clone for sale a few months ago when its owner, Mississippian Blake Curry, listed it for sale the first time. He had a change of heart before anyone could take him up on it and took it off the market, and the ad dissapeared before we could do a story it. And how could you blame him for balking?…I mean, what a car! Luckily (for someone out there) it’s up for sale again.

We love this thing because it looks a whole lot like a Stock Eliminator car, with its flat hood and completely stock-appearing exterior. But it’s actually a street car — but not your every-day street car, because this one rather discretely makes 1,100 horsepower and, by our best guesses (Curry ain’t tellin’), is probably capable of running in the mid to upper eights.

The powerplant is a 418 cubic-inch aluminum LS with a Callies rotating assembly and Brodix BR3 heads, fed by a pair of CX Racing 78mm turbos that produced the aforementioned 1,100 horses on just 16 psi. An Aeromotive pump fuels it, and a Powerglide transmission transfers it out back to the Quick Performance Fab-9 housing with 40-spline axles and 9.5-inch, 4.10 Pro gear.

The car, described by Curry as a frame-off, nut-and-bolt restoration during which no stone was left unturned, looks as good inside as the day it rolled off the assembly line in 1969, and you’d never know the potency of the car by sitting in it — factory dash and steering wheel, door panels, headliner, dome lights, and all the seats.The chassis sports double-adjustable Viking coilovers and Caltrac split leaf rear suspension setup, and rides on RC Components 17-inch fronts and 15×10 beadlock rear wheels.

At 95-grand, it’s not a cheap buy, but we haven’t seen many 8-second cars (or any cars of any speed, for that matter) this nice, anywhere.

“Every single thing on this car is new…interior, suspension, drivetrain, everything,” Curry says. “Car was built this past year and doesn’t have 500 miles on the build. This is a stupid fast show car…10 out of 10 on body and paint. Super slick and straight. All body lines are perfect. A show winner for sure.”
