The leader in custom car interiors, TMI Products, has announced its ongoing commitment to highlight the best custom interiors in the automotive industry. The TRIM Awards competition, now in its third year, will visit major automotive events throughout the country in search of a new champion of custom interiors during the TRIM Awards Traveling Road Show, presented by TMI Products.
The multi-stop competition spotlights the best TMI-equipped vehicles from across the nation and will lead up to the presentation of the various TRIM Awards at the 2024 SEMA Show in Las Vegas, Nevada. At each stop of the TRIM Award Road Tour, the panel of judges will choose one lucky winner who has exemplified what is possible with a TMI Products interior. From the five planned events, five winners will be selected, concluding with a TRIM Road Tour champion.
For anyone interested in participating, prospective participants are asked to enter their vehicles by filling out the online application on TMI’s website, where they will be added to the judging roster. The first-of-the-series event will be held at the 74th annual Grand National Roadster Show, this weekend, February 2-4, 2024, at the Fairplex in Pomona, California.
The deadline to enter this event is Friday, February 2, 2024, at 2:00 pm, with the winner being announced on the Grand National Roadster Show awards stage in the afternoon of Sunday, February 4, 2024.
Four additional shows are planned for the 2024 TRIM Awards season, which will include the C10 Nationals in Fort Worth, Texas (May 10-11, 2024), and the final stop at the Annual TMI Cars & Clearance event, held at the TMI Products headquarters in Corona, California (August 17, 2024). Comprehensive details surrounding each of the additional events will be announced at a later date.
TMI was founded in 1982 when the Tuccinardi brothers began producing Volkswagen door panels in the garage of their family home in Torrance, California. They got their start by tapping into the lucrative market of customizing VWs and wanted to be a part of the local scene.
In the years since that first product was produced, TMI has evolved to offer a wide range of automotive interior components including seats, consoles, floor coverings, door panels, convertible roof assemblies, headliners, and integrated audio systems.
That original level of hands-on control has remained by manufacturing all portions of their products, from cutting raw materials, laying down every stitch, pouring foam for seats, and final assembly into a finished product. TMI prides itself on being able to do all levels of the process in-house.
We love the fact that you can order an entire interior from TMI and it can be shipped to your door. You can get the custom interior you’re looking for without having the car disappear at an upholstery shop for months on end. If you have already installed a TMI interior into your ride and would like to enter the TMI Products TRIM Awards Road Show, feel free to fill out this short form on TMI’s website. Someone is going to go home with an awesome trophy thanks to their interior and it may be you!
