Good old Southern California. Lots of beaches, lots of deserts, and if you look hard enough, a couple of canyons.
This particular canyon known as Big Tujunga Creek, is located in Los Angeles County, where most of TheSmokingTire’s videos are filmed. Now, if we were here to talk about canyon runs and where the best canyons were located, then sure, we’d continue talking about them.
But since we’re not, let’s get right into it with Zak Nilsson’s 2011 Cadillac CTS-V Wagon.
How does a 630 wheel horsepower, supercharged V8, six-speed manual, rear-wheel-drive, 5 door wagon sound to you?
Zak asks the same question on his WheelWell page, stating, “What’s faster than most Porsches, can seat 5, and hold all of their luggage at the same time? The Cadillac CTS-V wagon. With the rear seats folded down, the V wagon can hold 20 cans of paint, a 6 foot ladder, and deliver a 5-star beatdown at the same time. Why use a truck when you can put your 20 bags of mulch, and your whimsical garden gnomes in the rear of this portly white whale, then do a burnout through the Home Depot parking lot, onto the main street, up the onramp and onto the freeway?”
Honestly, we probably couldn’t have put that better ourselves. Zak’s “V Wagon” is definitely a monster, and with all the modifications he has done to it, the car is definitely reliable for the amount of power it’s putting down.
With only 509 manual models ever built, what would you have done differently if you owned one?
