It has said that there can’t be an up, without a down; black without white; darkness without light. In this case, a good burnout without a failed burnout. Unfortunately for this Camaro driver, this was a very, failed burnout. To make matters worse, there was hundreds of onlookers with their cameras ready to take it all in.
The car itself is a stock appearing 5th generation Camaro. A car that’s more than capable of a nice, smokey burnout. If you want proof of that, you can watch one doing donuts here. This fail, is the result of driver error. Perhaps it wasn’t his car and he didn’t know what he was doing. We will give him some credit for attempting numerous times though. What appears to be the problem is that he still has the traction control turned on – what a newb.
He tries numerous times to turn it off. Even the crowd of spectators are yelling at him to turn off the traction control. After a few failed attempts, he gives up and starts to drive away. But you can tell something isn’t right with the car. The rearend might be bound tight, or something has broke. Once he gets a few feet down the road, you hear a loud snap from under the car. The crowd ushers out a response filled with shock. That’s when the drivers day went from bad, to worse. Time to tuck that tail between your legs.
