The Internet can be a wonderful thing. When looking for information – or the latest cat video – anything you need is at your fingertips. While not all the information out there is actually usable (i.e. the latest cat video), many times, the entertainment factor makes what you saw seem worthwhile.
The video above falls into the not-so-useful-but-highly-entertaining category. The folks at Holley proposed a question, “What’s more lame (lamer?) – a beat-up ’72 Chevy Nova or a gutless ’77 Oldsmobile Omega”? While both could be considered high-ranking on the “lame scale,” is it possible to make them less lame?
A group of Holley’s engineers came up with a plan to make one of them just a little better than stock, but nobody knows which one that will be. We’re sure you’ve already guessed the upgraded car will be receiving a host of goodies surrounding an LS swap. The question is, which one?
Stay tuned to Holley’s new video series “2018 Holley Lame Off Intro – Chevy Nova Versus Oldsmobile Omega,” where Holley’s Social Media Strategist, Keith Jesse, and Holley Digital Marketing Specialist, Michael Seymour, guide you through the entire journey. Which LS engine and which transmission go into which car has yet to be determined, but could one of these things actually run in the nine-second zone on a quarter-mile drag strip? Follow along and find out for yourself! The chosen one will be unveiled at Beech Bend Raceway Park in Bowling Green, Kentucky the weekend of Sept. 7 through 9, during LS Fest.
