Okay, let’s just get this out of the way first – that color choice is the Camaro’s “Synergy Green” which we absolutely love. But that’s not all we love about this car. While browsing YouTube, we came across user zakari3030 and his video displaying what appears to be a Superlite SLC Coupe powered by a LS9 mated to a Porsche 6-speed transaxle. Basically, these cars are actually road legal production racecars, but with a twist.

Similar to kit cars, you’ll have to source your own engine and transmission for the SLC Coupe. We took the liberty of browsing through their websites FAQ to find answers to some of the common questions about engine and transmission swaps. What we found rather interesting, was that SLC says you won’t need a donor vehicle for your new coupe. When we read further into this, it explained that SLC vehicles leave from the factory with everything provided. This includes brand new parts such as brakes, suspension, and more.

The reasoning behind SLC’s choice to provide us with as many parts from the factory as possible, is because it’s more cost efficient for both parties that way. Another thing to keep in mind as well, is that there are many resources at your disposal provided by SLC when building your car, even if you’re a novice. And if you’re an experienced builder, you can expect to have your car built in as little as 250 hours.
