We all want more power from our trucks, and are constantly looking for ways to achieve that through the use of intake, exhaust, and internal engine modifications. However, there’s not much that can instantly bump up the power coming out of an engine like a supercharger.
That’s why we love it when a company such as Magnuson Superchargers creates a new package like the one it just released for the 2014 Chevrolet Silverado pickup truck.
Magnuson has just announced the availability of supercharger kits for the 2014 Silverado with the 6.2L L86 engine. To show off the capabilities of its new package, Magnuson has produced the dyno video above.
Its test truck picked up 110 hp at the wheels, while retaining the stock direct injection fuel system, making it an easy system to install. The kit features the Eaton TVS 1900 rotor pack for great throttle response. Just like the new 5.3L, the 6.2L direct injection motor loves boost, and transforms the Silverado into a tire-roasting torque monster.
Under just 5 psi of boost, the new Magnuson supercharger kit for the 2014 Chevrolet Silverado trucks with the 6.2L direct injection L86 engine made more than 570 hp at the crank. This kit gives you the torque you need for the street, strip, off-road adventures, or towing, and the reliability for daily driving. For more information about this and all the other supercharger kits it can provide, check out the Magnuson Supercharger web site, and give it a Like on the company’s Facebook page.
