Our good friends from Down Under sure do love them some LSX power, and we love to see what kind of beastly rides they come up with. In this video from YouTube we get a look at what the video caption calls a “street GTO” that produces 1213 rear-wheel horsepower thanks to a twin turbo LSX mill.
One of the things you will no doubt immediately notice about this video is the seemingly relaxed standards for what it takes to safely keep a car on the dyno (we were personally just waiting for this twin-turbo’ed animal to jump off of those ramps and consume one of the innocent by-standers), but hey, maybe that is just how they roll down under. Who are we to judge? (I would still probably take a few extra steps to the side, just to make sure I was out of this things way though…)
We don’t know any of the specifics of the “GTO” (or Holden Monaro) featured in this video other than it is owned by one Eddy Tassone, but there is no doubt that its defiantly pushing some boost based on the audible whish of the blow-off-valve when the driver lets off of the gas. After a warm up, the yellow GTO cracks off an incredibly impressive 1,213 horsepower dyno pull that nearly launches the car over the chocks blocking the front wheels. Down right scary, but yet still, down right awesome.
How do you follow up an act like that? Take it to the dragstrip and run a 9.07 at 155 MPH, of course!
A special thanks goes out to Facebook fan Graeme Rutgers for tipping us off to these videos!
