WELD Racing Showcases New All-Black Ventura Wheel Offering

WELD Racing’s Performance RF line is a high performance lineup of rotary-formed aluminum wheels that deliver the classic styling that WELD wheels are known for, at an affordable price point. In many ways, they are the “little brother” to the popular forged RT-S series hoops in the WELD Racing wheel family, with aggressive looks, strength, and durability, all designed for performance uses. The Performance RF series includes the Ventura, Belmont, and Laguna wheel designs, in gloss machined, gloss black milled, and gloss black variants, with scalloped 6061 aluminum beadlock ring options for the rears in each design. The Performance RF series wheels come in stock, late model, and vintage fitment offerings to accommodate a myriad of bolt patterns, backspacing, and large brake kits.

The latest addition to the lineup is an all-gloss-black variant of the Ventura. The gloss black Ventura (S151) front is available in 17 x 10 and 18 x 5-inch diameters, and 5 x 114.3 or 5 x 120 bolt patterns. Rears (S905) is made in a 17×10-inch size, with inner and outer barrel knurling and a 6061 aluminum scalloped beadlock ring with heli-coil thread inserts. The monoblock construction uses WELD’s rotary formed technology improves rigidity while reducing weight.

This particular car, showcasing the WELD Racing black Ventura wheels front and rear, is a potent piece. The sixth-gen Camaro’s mill sports Texas Speed pistons and rods (with ARP L19 bolts), LT1 6.2L cam kit V2, 3/8-inch chromoly pushrods, and Gen 5 LT1 polished dual valve spring kit. There are also ARP’s LT1 6.2 head studs, Johnson Lifters race-style drop-in lifters, a Katech Gen-V LG wet sump oil pump, an LT4 high pressure fuel pump, LT4 injectors, Holley Ultra Low Ram manifold with port injection, ReFlex Plus control unit, Fuel Injector Clinic 1000cc injectors, Speed Engineering long tube headers and X-pipe, DSX Tuning auxiliary fuel pump, a flex fuel sensor, and an E85 custom flex fuel tune. All of that is intended to support the boost and necessary fuel for the intercooled ProCharger D1X supercharger.
