This new kit from Whipple uses their massive Gen 5 3.0-liter twin-screw supercharger and oversized air-to-water intercooler system that is currently used in their other kit for 2019-2020 GM trucks and SUVs. However, the big news is that Whipple Superchargers can now offer these kits for vehicles with the Global B PCM. These kits also offer optional finishes on the supercharger housing as well as a limited 36,000-mile powertrain warranty.

For those unaware, 2019 through 2021 GM trucks have the Global A PCM, and Whipple already has supercharger kits for those. The 2021 and 2022 GM SUVs with the new body style and the GM trucks that have the body refresh now come with the Global B PCM. GM locks the Global B PCM. This presents issues for the aftermarket, similar to those of the C8 Corvette. The locked PCM makes tuning and calibrating a real challenge for companies like Whipple.

Worry not; Whipple Superchargers has the solution. This kit includes all the necessary hardware to install their Gen 5 3.0-liter twin-screw supercharger and intercooler, along with a voucher for unlocking the factory Global B PCM, a programming cable, and the tune calibration from Whipple. To unlock your PCM, it must be sent to Trifecta Performance along with the voucher.

Imagine for a moment you could have a tire-frying SUV that cruises comfortably, hauls the family, and makes more than 500 horsepower at the rear wheels. Whipple’s test vehicle is a 2021 Cadillac Escalade with the 6.2L LT1 on 26-inch wheels and makes 534 peak horsepower on the dyno. More impressively, the torque curve is pretty flat, making a peak of 564 lb-ft at just 3,650 rpm and staying above 500 lb-ft all the way to 5,500 rpm. That will undoubtedly accelerate your SUV in a hurry.
