If the old adage “God lives in the details” is true, than Nathan Moreno has built quite a shrine in this LS3 motor that ultimately will find its way back home to his Gen 5 Camaro. This thing is a razor sharp take on state of the art engine porn and seems a shame to be tucked under the hood of a car. The motor was recently posted on Lateral-G with quite a laundry list of high tech hardware.
Along with a displacement bump to 418 cubic inches, this LS3 is sporting a ported intake and throttle body, 11.4:1 compression ratio, Lingenfelter cam and heads, Lunati crank and rods, CP pistons, Pure Power billet oil filter, Innovators West 8 rib pulley and Turn One power steering.
Nathan must have gone through a lot of die grinder abrasives after all the smoothing and finishing that went into this build. Working with a gray, tone on tone color pallete consisting of BMW “Frozen” gray, gunmetal and anthracite, the result a high tech pin up that takes more than one viewing to appreciate. The carbon fiber valve covers are just the right garnish for the top of the motor and Nathan even manages to make the composite intake manifold look cool.
In the meantime, we’ll keep you posted on when this gasoline DaVinci is reunited with Moreno’s Camaro. Until then, put a glass table top on it and let mere mortals pay homage at the shrine.
