Holley’s LS Fest East is the original LS Fest and has been going strong for 15 years. The event has exponentially grown over the years and shows off all the different ways LS and LT-based engines can be used. The drag racing portion of LS Fest always packs the stands at Beech Bend Raceway and is a fan favorite each year.

LS Fest organizers have never lost sight of the variety of people who come to LS Fest East to participate in the fun. That’s why there are multiple classes on the drag racing side of things that span from open test-n-tune, to hardcore heads up racing. There’s literally a class for everyone at LS Fest East.

The $10K No-Time Shootout features the quickest and fastest LS and LT-powered vehicles in the country. These racers may not light the boards, but the performance of their vehicles shows just how fast they really are. In the final round of the 2024 $10K No-Time Shootout, Nicolas Feliciano turned on the win light and claimed the $10,000 prize.

If you like fast heads up racing with the clocks on, the Quick 16 and Stock Block classes provide plenty of great action. The Quick 16 class features anything with an LS engine, and Tim Kish brought home the win behind the wheel of his Altered. Stock Block class racers have to use an OEM block as the foundation of their engine. Josh Arnold ran through a tough field of competitors to win the Stock Block class this year.

Got a truck or SUV and want to do some heads up LS Racing? LS Fest East featured a class just for you and Cody Hoffman scored the class win. Stick shift racers also got to have their own fun at LS Fest East in the Stick Shift Banger. Thomas West came out on top in the Stick Shift Banger class at LS Fest East.

Not everyone can go heads up racing, and that’s why there are plenty of index classes at LS Fest East. Jacob Decker won the Rumble Index category, while Rodney Payne earned the Street King crown. Barry Cook scored the win in the 8.60 Street Race index class, and Terry Garmon won the Street Warrior 10.10 index class.

What if you don’t want to run an index and just need to show what your street car can do? Well, you’d want to enter the LS Fest Drag & Drive class. These racers have to run their rides back-to-back three times to get as close as possible to an average between 9.00-15.00. If you’re really fast, you just run your vehicle all out and try to score the quickest average. The quickest average this year was awarded to Tyler Baber.
