This week, we have a 2014 Stingray in the black on black variety from Dale, Texas. While it is currently being shown on Insurance Auto Auctions as stock# 13628198, there is not currently a bid date assigned for the auction. This Corvette seems to have gotten into a bit of trouble, and as a result, went through at least one rollover if not several.

It is nice to see that the tow truck company, or whomever was responsible for hauling the mangled Stingray to the boneyard took care to bring the body panels along that managed to fly off the car during what was probably one wild ride. You can see here near the vehicle, a driver-side door skin, as well as what may be a front-right fender liner or fender.

The engine compartment looks to have a fair amount of flora present along with dirt and/or some mud. While it certainly made a mess of the area, hopefully that meant a softer impact for the vehicle and thus for those inside the tumbling Stingray.

While the damage to the car’s outer structure looks to be fairly significant, we noticed two positives regarding the probable fate of any occupants. For one, there are missing parts which can help with energy dispersion. Secondly, the cockpit space doesn’t look to have much intrusion, this would indicate a lack of crushing or penetrating damage. Only the driver-side airbag was deployed so we’ll assume there were no passengers in this incident. It is pretty remarkable how safe these cars have become compared to not so long ago. None the less,we hope the driver is safe and is behind the wheel today.
